Developed by the startup Humane, the AI Pin is a small, configurable, wearable AI assistant that has been featured in Nordic Semiconductor’s Wireless Quarter.

"The Humane AI Pin is an innovative wearable device that redefines interaction with AI, offering a discreet yet powerful way to stay connected and in control," say the creators. 

This device includes a visible display, a battery booster to be worn inside clothing, and a "beacon" for message communication. It can converse with the user to help find information, including searching through emails. Additionally, it can function as a language interpreter.

For audio, the AI Pin features a Panasonic speaker and supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and 3G communications. Users can interact with the device through hand tilts and rolls, as well as various gestures. For example, a double-tap can answer or end a call or control music playback.

"AI Pin is designed with your privacy and personal space in mind. It activates only on command, with no wake words, to ensure what’s private stays private. Its Trust Light clearly signals when it’s capturing, fostering a trusting environment," writes Humane.
