Samsung Electronics' chairman recently met with the leaders of Meta, Qualcomm, and Amazon to discuss collaboration on artificial intelligence, cloud services, and chips.

Mark Zuckerberg invited Samsung's Jay Y. Lee to his home on Tuesday, where they talked about AI, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Lee also discussed semiconductor cooperation with Amazon CEO Andy Jassy and Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, focusing on memory chips for Amazon's data centers and cloud services, as well as chip manufacturing for Qualcomm's mobile processors.

These meetings will inform Samsung's strategic planning at an upcoming company-wide meeting.

During Lee's two-week visit to the U.S., he aims to address challenges in Samsung's semiconductor division, which has lost ground in the high-end memory chip market for AI.

Samsung collaborates with Amazon in various fields, including TV and mobile content, and its high-end smartphones use Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors. Additionally, Samsung and Meta have partnered on VR headsets and foldable smartphones.
