The 34th Hong Kong Book Fair commenced on Wednesday, offering a week-long cultural celebration featuring over 600 activities. Readers flocked to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, exploring a diverse array of books presented by exhibitors.

Visitors to the fair have the chance to interact with authors from around the globe, including notable writers such as Su Tong and Jin Yucheng, who will be delivering lectures.
Aligned with this year’s theme of Film and Television Literature, the fair showcases movie clips and film stills alongside the original novels they were adapted from. Many attendees engaged with an interactive map that highlighted film locations and interesting facts.

Continuing its tradition, the fair features a dedicated section for books from the Chinese mainland, with over 60 mainland publishers exhibiting nearly 10,000 different titles.
Running through July 23, the book fair is held concurrently with the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and the World of Snacks 2024.
