Educational institutions are being encouraged to embrace refurbished IT equipment to meet increasing technological demands while managing budget constraints. This shift is driven by the necessity to manage hardware budgets more effectively and the growing demand for sustainable devices.
Espria's participation in the National Association of Headteachers Conference underscored the concern among education IT operators about sourcing high-quality hardware amid tighter budgets. Dickinson reassures that meeting the minimum standards for laptops and other devices is achievable with refurbished options. “Many refurbished equipment providers offer extended warranties with BSI accreditation and maintenance services that provide educators with peace of mind. This shift in attitude is driven by cost savings, environmental sustainability, and the ability to offset these devices against carbon footprint,” he adds.
