The King Abdullah University Internship is a fully funded program for international undergraduate and postgraduate students to gain research experience in Saudi Arabia. This Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP) is hosted annually by the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), covering all travel, accommodation, and living expenses, including a $1,000 monthly stipend.

Internship Details:

The VSRP allows students to engage in innovative research across various scientific and engineering disciplines at KAUST. Students will work under the guidance of KAUST faculty mentors, gaining valuable research experience in an international community.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Undergraduate students in their 3rd year or higher, and Masters students
  • GPA of 3.5/4 or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • Current PhD candidates, KAUST students, or alumni are ineligible

  5. Your application will be reviewed, and you may be contacted for a ZOOM interview to discuss your academic background and interest in the internship.
  6. If selected, you will have a second ZOOM interview with the Office of Admissions.
  7. Upon approval, you will receive an email acceptance letter.
  8. A travel advisor will assist with your relocation to the KAUST campus.
