Mark Zuckerberg announced on Wednesday that Horizon OS version 67 is rolling out with an experimental feature that allows Quest owners to multitask with up to six virtual windows. To enable it, go to Settings, then Experimental, and toggle it on. This feature lets users dock three windows in a "hinged" layout while freely placing and resizing up to three additional windows wherever desired.
The feature is available on the Quest Pro, Quest 2, and Quest 3, with the Quest 3 benefiting significantly in mixed reality mode. The augmented reality support on Quest 3 is comparable to the Apple Vision Pro experience, providing more options for Quest owners and the ability to move further away without losing windows.
Additionally, a "Theater View" button quickly isolates and enlarges any window while dimming the others, compatible with the browser, video player, and other 2D apps within Horizon OS.

Other updates in version 67 include swipe typing for easier text input, QR code scanning for Wi-Fi setup (exclusive to the Quest 3), improved eye tracking performance on the Quest Pro, and the ability to set durations for Do Not Disturb mode. Meta advises users to keep checking for the update as it is gradually rolled out.
