Applications are now open for a PhD fellowship at the Graduate School of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark, within the Nanoscience program, starting from November 2024 or later.

As a PhD candidate, you will join the Interfaces and Catalysis group at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO), under the guidance of Prof. Jeppe V. Lauritsen. This role involves engaging in experimental surface science, utilizing advanced tools like scanning probe microscopy (STM/AFM) and photoemission spectroscopy (XPS), both in-house and at leading synchrotrons.

Qualifications:

The interdisciplinary nature of this position makes it suitable for candidates from nanoscience, materials science, chemistry, or physics. Applicants should hold a recent master's degree (for the 3-year PhD program) or have completed 4 years of studies (for the 4-year PhD program) with excellent academic records. Experience in surface science, fundamental electrocatalysis studies, or synchrotron studies is an advantage.
