Philips, a respected name in the desktop monitor market, has announced a new range of high-quality 4K monitors designed to boost productivity. The new models, including the 27E1N1800A, 27E1N1800AE, 27E1N1900AE, and 32E1N1800LA, come in 27-inch or 32-inch sizes with 4K UHD resolutions. Despite their unmemorable names, these monitors offer several features aimed at enhancing the user experience.
The differences between the models are minimal, with all featuring IPS technology for crisp visuals, while the high-end 32E1N1800LA model includes VA technology. Notably, the 27E1N1900AE model comes with built-in USB-C, whereas the others offer HDMI and DisplayPort access. These monitors also feature UltraClear 4K UHD resolution, making them ideal for detailed work like photos, CAD images, and 3D graphics, as well as everyday tasks like spreadsheets and word documents.
Philips has included SmartContrast technology to automatically adjust colors and brightness for improved contrast, beneficial for video and image work. Additionally, to combat eye fatigue from prolonged use, the monitors incorporate flicker-free technology to regulate brightness and flickering, along with LowBlue mode to reduce shortwave blue light.

Energy efficiency is another key feature, with Philips implementing low-power modes and achieving low-energy certifications such as RoHS. The packaging is also 100% recyclable, aligning with environmentally friendly practices.
Philips has strategically priced these monitors at the lower end of the market to remain competitive in a sector flooded with new entries, especially following the pandemic-era shift to work-from-home setups. The 27E1N1800A, 27E1N1800AE, 27E1N1900AE, and 32E1N1800LA will be available in July, costing €249, €259, €319, and €300, respectively. These models offer an affordable option without sacrificing essential features, standing out against competitors like the Monoprice 32-inch CrystalPro and budget monitors like the Asus VP228HE.
