In Q1 2024, Samsung regained the No.1 spot in the global semiconductor market, driven by strong demand in the memory market, particularly for DDR5 and HBM, according to Counterpoint Research.

NVIDIA secured the No.2 position with a 19% QoQ revenue growth, bolstered by its dominance in AI. Conversely, Intel experienced a 14% QoQ revenue decline due to weak demand in its foundry, Altera, and Mobileye segments.

Hynix and Micron benefited from the robust memory market, reporting sequential revenue growth and ranking No.4 and No.7, respectively, during the quarter. Qualcomm and Broadcom, ranked No.5 and No.6, respectively, saw single-digit QoQ revenue declines due to weak performance in their core businesses.
