Xiaomi, the renowned Chinese tech company, has introduced the SU7 Ultra prototype, a high-performance variant of its SU7 electric vehicle, tailored for a record-breaking lap at Germany's Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.

The SU7 Ultra diverges significantly from the standard SU7. It features a complete aerodynamic overhaul, including an aggressive front splitter, redesigned air vents, a vented hood, side skirts, a massive rear wing, and a diffuser. These enhancements collectively generate an impressive 2,145 kg of downforce, ensuring superior track grip. 

Xiaomi has also focused on weight reduction by using carbon fiber for all body panels, achieving a curb weight of 1,900 kg. This makes it lighter than both the standard SU7 Max and the Porsche Taycan Turbo S with the Weissach Package.

The powertrain of the SU7 Ultra is where it truly excels. It boasts a tri-motor setup, with two “V8s” electric motors, each delivering 570 bhp and 635 Nm of torque, and a third “V6s” unit providing 387 bhp. This setup results in a combined output of 1,527 bhp, surpassing the performance of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, Tesla Model S Plaid, and Nio EP9.

Xiaomi claims that the SU7 Ultra can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 5.96 seconds. The top speed exceeds 350 km/h, with a 0 to 300 km/h sprint in a claimed 15.07 seconds. 

For braking, the SU7 Ultra is equipped with high-performance brakes from AP Racing and racing discs designed to withstand extreme temperatures. It also features a regenerative braking system capable of up to 0.6g of deceleration, enabling it to stop from 100 km/h in just 25 meters.

The standard SU7 is available in three variants: Standard, Pro, and Max. Currently, the SU7 Max is the most powerful with a dual-motor setup producing 664 bhp and 838 Nm of torque. However, the SU7 Ultra prototype elevates Xiaomi’s electric vehicle ambitions by showcasing extraordinary performance and technological advancements.

Through the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi aims to cement its position in the high-performance electric vehicle market, demonstrating the company's innovative approach and commitment to cutting-edge automotive technology.
