Collaboration with VAGABUND Design Studio
The BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND was created through a collaboration between BMW Motorrad Austria in Salzburg and the Design & Makers Studio VAGABUND in Graz. This stylish eParkourer, based on the BMW CE 02, is designed for urban areas, blending futuristic and retro elements.

Philosophy Behind the Design
Paul Brauchart, founder and managing director of Vagabund Moto GmbH, explains their approach: "We were immediately in love when we saw the CE 02 for the first time at the BMW Motorrad Days in Berlin. The overall design was a 'perfect match' for us as we always try to break new ground and reinterpret existing products in our own way. This project combines the futuristic original design with retro vibes, giving it a familiar feeling."
Unique Design and Functional Elements
The custom bike not only impresses with its unique, futuristic design but also features various functional "retro" elements. These include the musical integration of the "OB-4 Magic Radio" from "Teenage Engineering," which underlines the young and creative philosophy of the bike. The "electric exhaust" serves as a practical style element and visual highlight, offering space for an umbrella. Design elements like the running board with skateboard grip tape reflect the sporty, urban eParkourer style.

BMW CE 02 Specifications
The BMW CE 02 delivers 15 hp and 40.6 lb-ft of torque, enabling quick acceleration from traffic lights and a dynamic riding experience. With a top speed of 59 mph (95 km/h) and a range of over 56 miles (90 km) (according to WMTC), it is ideal for extended urban adventures. Its low weight of 132 kg and a seat height of 29.5 inches (750 mm) contribute to its agile handling characteristics.

Torque is transmitted from the synchronous motor on the right-hand side of the vehicle via a toothed belt to an intermediate shaft, then to the rear wheel. This sophisticated construction ensures optimal center of gravity for neutral handling. ASC (Automatic Stability Control) ensures safe power transmission between the rear tire and varied road surfaces. RSC (Recuperation Stability Control) functions similarly to engine drag torque control, reducing drag torque in overrun mode and enabling recuperation. Additionally, a reversing aid makes maneuvering easy.
